Hello! I'm Indigo - the artist and creator behind Custom Starry Designs. My passion for art and the mesmerising beauty of the night sky inspired me to start this journey. Each piece I create is a labour of love, designed to bring a touch of the cosmos into your everyday life. When I'm not crafting, you can find me stargazing out my bedroom window, watching period dramas, or listening to podcasts while I'm low on spoons and resting. I've always been creative and have loved making art since before I even learned how to speak.
Due to my struggles with chronic pain and chronic fatigue, I've had to rethink my approach to many things, including art and crafting, which has included working more slowly on smaller scale designs, adapting techniques to be ones that are more suited to my disabilities and setting up an accessible crafting station with a comfortable chair that allows me to rest my body while I'm getting starry eyed over my next project.
I started Custom Starry Designs to give myself a creative outlet and to allow me to share my art in the hopes of bringing a little extra joy and sparkle to others. I really believe in the value of handmade crafts (if anything even more than I did back when I struggled less with my various disabilities), as a transformative power for good in the universe. My own mental wellbeing has always been positively influenced by art, so here I am, sharing my starry dreams in the hopes of making people smile.
